The Advanced Paediatric Life Support course is a two-day intensive course designed for all specialists (including trainees) who may be in charge of the emergency management of unwell or injured children.

Using a planned, sequential approach, the APLS training teaches the knowledge and skills necessary for the recognition, successful treatment, and stabilization of children with life-threatening situations.

The course is taught all around the world, and its concepts are followed. If you are a general practitioner interested in becoming an expert in child care, you can enroll in an advanced pediatric life support course via

European Paediatric Advanced Life Support (EPALS) 04-05/07/2022, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London, 4 July to 5 July

The APLS course is provided in two ways:

  • A traditional two-day face-to-face course is available.
  • One day of remote learning and one day of face-to-face instruction are combined in this remote-enhanced course.

Who should show up?

The course is largely for experts (including trainees), with a focus on pediatricians, anesthetists, and emergency medicine specialists. This course, however, will benefit doctors at all levels (from internships to those with extensive clinical practice experience) who care for acutely ill or injured children.

The internationally famous manual on emergency pediatric care, Advanced Pediatric Life Complement, was produced to support the Advanced Life Support Group's training.

Doctors, nurses, and allied health workers dealing with children's crises use Advanced Pediatrics Life Support's structured approach, a tried and proved practical method of treating children during the critical initial few hours of a life-threatening disease or injury.
